Where can i buy a really cheap cricut expression machine about 150 us?

You might find a really good deal on a used one for that but that’s still a long shot.

I’d search craigslist and ebay for new and used.

Unfortunately, $150 is way below what stores can even buy them from the manufacturer for so you’re not gonna find a new one at that price. $350-$400 would be a GREAT deal if you found a new one for that!!

Good luck =)

Question about the new gypsy for cricut scrap booking machine?

If you share cartridges with a friend and you both have a gypsy then can you download that cartridge more then one so you have them on both Gypsy’s?

Just a shot in the dark, but as a cricut owner, I would think you could. When you download the cartridge it is just as if you were using it in your cricut, I would think. You might want to check the cricut website at www.cricut.com to make sure. But, I know you can download the design studio to more than one computer as long as you use the same information as far as owner and contacts. Hope this helps and good luck.

Hubbs got me a Cricut machine for Christmas!?

I guessed and he couldn’t keep a straight face, so I know that’s what he got me! LOL I don’t know which one he got though. I was wondering what is comes with? Does it come with anything programmed or will I have to purchase a cartridge before I can use it?

Any tips or anything helpful would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

I think Cricut is made by Provocraft. Go to their website and see what it comes with, I’d say. Or, go to the Michaels or Joann’s websites. They both carry the item. See what a normal one comes with.

has anyone had problems with a cricut machine?

im thinking of getting a cricut machine for scrapbooking and would like to know if any of you have had any problems with thers

I use my machines (yes that was plural) on an almost daily basis. I have more than one because I started with the little one (finally decided to recently sell it) but then they came out with the big one but then after that they came out with a pink big one and my hubby knows pink is my fav color and he though that i could have one for home and one for travel. Anyway I have not had a problem with any of them and the newest one is almost a year old and the first one I got when cricut first came out and it’s still going strong. I’ve never had to call customer service for any of them. I did have an issue with my Gypsy but Provo Craft was awesome and replaced it. They even sent it to me overnight ups. I paid for no shipping whatsoever. I don’t like that there are soo many cartridges but I would suggest a cricut over any of the other electronic die cut machines. There are no laptops or computers to hook to. Yes there are a lot of carts but you can put them all on a Gypsy and never have to carry those again.

What can you tell me about the Cricut Personal Cutting machine…for scrapbooking, etc.?

I am looking at getting one for my wife for christmas, but i have very little info on it.

How long do they last under normal wear and tear? Is she going to have to spend a fortune on upkeep (blades, mats, paper, etc.)? How many cartridges will be needed to be able to offer some functional variety to card making, and scrapbooking?

Any and all answers will be most appreciated.

Thanks

I have drooled over that thing, and have almost bought it several times. Here is my issue with it: I don’t mind the initial price for it and the couple "free" cartridges you get with it, but all the other cartridges cost like $50 each.. thats alot of money! The blades are reasonable…but the cartridges are not. And you can’t use a coupon on them at any craft store that I’ve seen.

At the least, she definitely needs at least one alphabet and maybe a cartridge with some swirly stuff, and maybe a holiday one. Definitely the alphabet is a must have.

I ended up buying the Cuttlebug Die Cutter and Embosser. It is more limiting, but you can get alot of shapes, alphabets, etc. For $500 you could get the Cuttlebug and a miriad of embossing plates and diecutting plates.

Can you use Stampin’ Up! card stock in the Cricut machine?

Hi, my mom is looking into buying a cricut machine however she wants to know if she will be able to use her stampin up cardstock with it… or will it be to thick?

I use Stampin Up cardstock almost exclusively. It’s an excellent quality paper, with a surface that’s perfect for stamping. The trick with the Cricut seems to be to first use a pad that’s good and sticky. They don’t last very long and once they’re not tacky, the paper will move. Second, use the right pressure. I use a pretty high pressure with cardstock, but the regular needle, not the super duper deepset one. The other thing I’ve noticed is that more intricate designs can’t be too small or I end up with holes in the paper and spots where I can’t get the cut parts out. I love my Cricut, but wish I could create my own cartridge with the things I want and need on it. One with tons of connected words would be great. The cartridge I use most is Wild Thing.
